(schnitzel with beetroot mash)


ingredients

for the schnitzel
1 per person butterfly steak
as required bread crumbs, for coating
1-2 unit(s) egg(s), beaten, so the bread crumbs stick
to taste salt and pepper
for the beetroot mash
2 units large, fresh beetroots
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp sour cream - OPTIONAL
as required lemon juice and/or vinegar (until taste is “just right”)
as required milk OR water OR soup (as a thinner) - OPTIONAL
